Side view works best — the whole body in frame, worker facing left or right, one person doing the task.
Physical Demand Assessment: add a photo for each significant posture in the job — lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling. Save each one, then keep going. The job is scored by its worst posture, and every posture appears in the report.
3 A few things a photo can't show
These feed directly into the published scoring tables. Guessing is fine — you can re-run with better numbers.
If your team uses a force gauge, enter the readings and we'll compare them against published screening limits for that frequency and hand height.
Classification thresholds — set your own weight cutoffs
These decide how a job is classified from its lifting demands. The defaults follow the standard occupational categories; change them to match your company or jurisdiction. Each level must sit above the one before it.

What are REBA and RULA?
REBA — Rapid Entire Body Assessment
Developed by Hignett and McAtamney in 2000 for whole-body tasks — lifting, carrying, kneeling, working in awkward positions. It scores the trunk, neck, and legs as one group and the arms and wrists as another, then adds the load being handled, how well the object can be gripped, and whether the activity is static, repeated, or unstable.

Best for: material handling, maintenance work, anything where the whole body is involved.
RULA — Rapid Upper Limb Assessment
Developed by McAtamney and Corlett in 1993, focused on the upper body — neck, trunk, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. It was built for seated and bench work where the strain lands on the arms and neck rather than the back and legs, and it weighs muscle use and force alongside posture.

This tool is a screening aid, not a substitute for a qualified ergonomist or a full job hazard analysis. A single photograph captures one instant — it cannot measure how long a posture is held, how often it repeats, actual forces, or individual factors. Scores are calculated from the published REBA and RULA tables; the written findings are AI-generated interpretation. Verify anything that drives a control decision.
